My dinners and I...

I actually don't follow recipes in the kitchen, I just throw whatever I have into the pan and voilá!

Since I've started my diet my dinners are rather routine and boring. It's basically pretty much always the same thing: I'll each vegetables (sometimes with meat/fish) and usually a salad.

Now my vegetable mix is far from rocket science, it's just a "vegetable mix".

It became an issue when some colleagues asked me what I put into my "veggie mix" and I really didn't remember...
This was still cooking, but it's... Onion, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, salt, spring onion, tomato, celery, eggplant, green beans,  asparagus, konnyaku, carrot, parsely and soy sprouts. Later I add herbs.
Some people have commented that it's too expensive to buy some of these veggies, which might be true depending on several issues, such as food budget, where you live, where you buy them from, how many people you are feeding, how much you eat... But I don't find it too bad. I do however understand the financial issue, in fact the main reason I stopped juicing fruit was because it was too expensive.

Christmas

The table...

For Christmas I went to Europe... I wasn't counting on dieting and I was expecting all kinds of havoc to run through my body.

It was nice to be back, and I did eat like a pig (actually, I ate like five pigs rolled up into one big pigzilla) and my weight will of course reflect two weeks of gluttony.

Super busy! But on track :)

I've been super busy with work and haven't had time to keep the blog updated, but I am still very much on track with my diet and weight loss :D

I've set a November goal: for both weight and exercise.

I seem to have the diet thing down, with no major problems for the last... 38 days :D
But exercise... OMG!!! I'm lazy and I hate exercise, and that's the way it is.
The fact that I've been crazy busy at work doesn't help, but at the end of the day I'll look for any excuse, and if I can find 60 minutes to watch videos of X-Factor on youtube, I sure as hell can swap that for a run :P

I've joined the November exercise challenge on the weight loss forum and have set my goal at 20 miles.

Nothing massive, I know, but if I can do 20 this month, then I can do 25 next month even if it will be colder, and so on :)

Phase 2 of the Shred

So today I started phase 2 of the shred...

Well make that "tries to start phase 2"... I found the exercises much more difficult! But I hope it will get into shape over the next few days, much like phase 1, I was all over the place during the first couple of days.

Sick Days

I've been sick for the last two days, and I feel like DFGHJKJVC...

Unfortunately, I didn't exercise during this time, so besides feeling physically down from the flu or whatever, but I'm also feeling terrible from not exercising :(

The 70's are soooo back!

I'm glad to inform you that I have moved back to the 70's!

I'd been in the 80's for about 18 months now, so it was a pleasant surprise (not really, I was anxiously waiting for this...)

I'm just happy to see some improvement :)

Day 7

Yesterday I had to work! All freaking day, and it was a Saturday :(

So with 4 hours of sleep on me, I just managed to drag myself out of bed and get to work... I didn't exercise in the morning, I'm not even sure I remembered to brush my hair for that matter.

Anyway, got home at 6pm and I was sooooo exhausted from a really long week, and I just thought: damn I need a nap!

And so it was, nap time! Till 11pm :x :x :x

I woke up at that time still feeling lazy as hell... Checked my email and the internets, started to gain courage do go and exercise. But time wasn't on my side; I live in a large apartment building.
I imagined myself doing my jumping jacks and my neighbours downstairs running for cover thinking it was (another) earthquake. I thought of going outside for a run, but it was almost midnight. Anyway, I kept on procrastinating and avoiding what must be done!

I was actually hating myself by this point, thinking about how lazy I was and how I MUST exercise everyday. Anyway, I was really in the mood for some cardio, but silent cardio... Not going to happen without a machine. So I just did some yoga and pilates, not really cardio but it was almost an hour of some sort of exercise.

Ah well, I did fell terrible about it, but this morning I got up and went straight to my shred :)
I know loads of people say you should exercise on an empty stomach, as it burns more fat... But when I do this, like today, I feel like I am so energy lacking and just slow!
